Creating the Exhibit Floor Area

All new projects will begin at the Exhibit Floor Area Selector screen. From this screen you will select the size of the floor area, the texture and colour. There is also an area to enter details about the project.

Select Exhibit Floor Area

Select the floor area in square feet by typing a number in the “width” and “depth” information boxes or by using the up and down arrows at the edge of each information box.

Floor Textures

To select a texture for the floor area, click on the thumbnail images in the “Textures” area at the right of the screen. You will see a larger version of the activated texture in the area above.
Move and Zoom

You can move the image of the floor area that has been created by clicking on the directional arrows. To zoom in or out, use the zoom buttons identified with a plus or minus symbol.
Exhibit Details

Fill in the information fields by selecting a field and typing the information with a keyboard.
The information you fill in will appear on the final export of your completed project, as well as on printouts and in saved files.
Finished Editing

Click on the finished editing button to continue to the layout and design stage of the project.
You can return to the floor area editing screen at anytime to change your current selections of.

Exhibit Layout & Design

This area is where items are added and the entire scene is manipulated. From this screen you can return to the floor editing screen or move to the model editing screen. There are many directional controls to change how you are viewing your creation, and how it will look when printed. You can also save and print your project from this screen.

Camera Control

This area of the screen contains directional arrows to change viewing angle of the project.
Click on the desired button to move the camera around in the main window.
The “Move” arrows will move up, down, left or right. These are for moving in a straight line.
The “Rotate” arrows will move the camera around the scene in 3D. The scene will turn or rotate in the direction of the arrows shown. The “Zoom” buttons allow you adjust the distance the scene appears to be from the viewer.

Exhibit Control

Click on the item (model) to be moved, then click on the control icon (Move or Rotate) and use the keyboard arrows to move or rotate in the desired direction. The “Exhibit Control” buttons work similar to camera control buttons with the help of keyboard arrow keys. Click on the desired form of control (“Move” or “Rotate”) and use the keyboard arrow keys to control the direction. Navigating a 3D scene with a button controlled camera can be difficult. The “Reset” button is an easy way to return the camera to a standard viewing angle. Click on this button to restore the camera view of the scene and continue modifications from a familiar starting point.

Areal View

The “Aerial View” area of the screen contains a view from the top of your created scene. This helps when placing models either in front or behind other objects. A model may not be visible if it is placed behind another model and this area will allow you find it and place it in the correct position. Walk through areas on the floor of the scene can also be created between models and are best viewed from this section of the screen.
Selecting a Model

All of the 3D models available to add into the scene are categorized by display type. At the top of the screen there are drop down menus containing the models to choose from. Once a model has been selected from the drop down menu, a small image of it will be added to the “Models” section of the screen. This model is now easily available to be added to the 3D scene you are creating.
Models

Click on a model in the “Models” area of the screen to place it in the project window showing your 3D scene. These blank models are ready for graphics to added in the Edit Model screen.
(See Edit Model) for more details on how to add graphics to the blank models.

Edit Model

In this area you can edit the selected model, import and apply graphics and change colour. The button to enter the “Edit Model” screen is just below the main scene window along with “Top View”, “Front View”, “Edit Floor”, and Print & Preview.
Fabric Textures and Finish
This area of the screen will hold small images of the textures and/or finishes available for the currently selected model in the main window. Click and drag the texture or finish to the model.

Importing Graphics

If the model selected to be edited can have graphics applied to it, an icon will appear in the “Imported Graphics” area of the screen. These icons are place holders for your custom images . Click on one of the icons in the “Imported Graphics” area and you will be prompted to select your custom graphic from your hard drive. Once your custom graphic is linked into the “Imported Graphics” area, you can click on it and drag it to the main window and onto the model.
Editing Custom Graphics
To re-size, and crop an imported image, click on the “Edit Image” button just below the main window. A separate window will open for you to work with the selected image before applying it to a model.

Camera Control

The camera control area contains familiar directional control buttons. These buttons change the viewing angle of the model. This allows for previewing at all angles during texture and graphic modifications on the model, before returning to the project scene where the model will be viewed at the selected scene angle.

Exiting the “Edit Model” Screen

Click on the “Back” button to return to the project scene in the “Exhibit Layout & Design” screen. You will now see the edited version of the selected model in the entire project scene.

Print & Export

This screen is where you preview the final image to be exported/saved and/or printed.

Export/Save

To save your final image to your hard drive, click on the “Save Image” button. This is different than the “Save” button in the main “Exhibit Layout & Design” section because it will not save the working “Exhibit Creator” file. This “Save Image” button selection will save the final scene image as shown in the preview window of this section.

Printing a Completed Scene

Select the “Print” button and a printing dialog box will appear. The preview image in the main window will print along with the information fields at the top and bottom.

Adding a Logo

To add a logo to the bottom left hand area of the final image to be saved or printed, click in the area “Click Here To Load A Logo” and link a jpeg image by selecting it from your hard drive.

Adding Other Information

To add Customer Name, Date, Notes and other information, click on the desired text field and type with a keyboard. Some of the information may have already been filled in at the beginning of your project. These notes will appear on the exported image and the printed image.
